What's up Hexy people!

Thank you everyone for a fantastic week! Phew! Am I glad I time traveled in order to make those pARTy Trays a reality. We had a huge bump in our total raised this past week, getting us SO CLOSE to our $750,000 stretch goal! Less than $100k to go in order to get these sweet Party Art Trays.

If we hit 750k these will be available in backerkit in all of the Monsters & Maps woods:

Cherry, Mahogany, and Purpleheart. (Yes, they will have hanging hardware :)

ALSO I'm going to be posting the final update video on Wednesday (9/15) instead of tomorrow (9/11).

I'll be going over Backerkit and I'd like to release the video a bit closer to the end of the campaign. I also may be waiting on a few surprises...

here's a clue: the surprise I'm waiting for can be used with the Tavern Tile...

But the update video being pushed doesn't mean I don't have anything for content 😎 . In this video, Bennett breaks down the process that goes into the Masterwork Signature Series Hex Sets! Enjoy!

Hello Hexy people!

It is here! The Monsters & Maps Deep Dive

In this update I go in depth to one of my favorite parts of the campaign: The Monsters & Maps option - featuring laser engraved and leather printed custom art work.

SURPRISE 750K STRETCH GOAL 

UNLOCK PARTY ART TRAYS!

I hit myself with the ol' switcheroo.  The original plan was to make a set of these Party Art Trays and do an epic giveaway. But when I saw these babies in person, along with everyone else, we liked them a lot. After I recorded the update, I would stare at the trays and just start to think that this was basically going to be a bummer for a lot of people - see something cool and having no way of getting it. They came out cooler than I thought. So, I threw a last minute addendum in the video.

We are going to be UNLOCKING THE PARTY ART TRAYS FOR ALL IF WE CAN REACH $750,000 RAISED!

   If you're the type of person who likes to pledge the minimum only to up it later, this would be a good time to adjust and help us hit our goal! If not, a simple share on social media can go a long way too <3. Thanks to you all this has been an amazing campaign, and it's not even over! DOWNLOADABLE GAMING ASSETS
 In addition to talking a bit about each design, I also reveal something Nick has been working on specifically for Hexy Time! The creatures and destinations from this option are now able to be incorporated into your D&D game! Available for download, each Monster and Map combination has their own rpg packet, complete with backgrounds, lair actions, stat blocks, and even ambient music suggestions.

New Darker Map Tray Leathers
 The leather from the Map Hex Trays have been noted to be darker in the final versions. Welp, the new leathers are finally in and look GREAT! I think the natural looking material looks VERY good against the wood. The others were a bit stark. Excited with how these final products came out 😊 .
I should mention that the first, lighter colored leathers were prototypes - they will NOT be available as an option

What Products Will Be On The Website AFTER The Campaign?

Hey all! Hope everyone is doing well! Just wanted to stop in to share a few things :).

I know a lot of people were wondering about what products will make their way to the Wyrmwood website after the campaign is over. The answer is: I don't know. We base all of that off of the popularity of the products, which we don't know until the campaign is over. However I give you my best estimations in this video below :).

There were also some developments on the "Modular Tile Rack Change" that I mentioned in the last update. Long story short: We are KEEPING THE TILE RACK THE SAME. I explain in the video below :)

And finally, we have the Behind The Scenes of JV's masterful Kickstarter video. Here JV talks about how he was able to pull off some pretty cool shots with janky self made equipment, and some counterfeit Star Wars Destiny cards! Matt even makes an appearance to talk about the animation at the end. This is a super cool video - enjoy!

I'm editing my update for this Saturday which will have a whole lot of Monsters and Maps! New leathers for the trays! And a surprise! Until then :)

Bobby's fun facts for ALL 16 HEXY WOODS!

Happy Saturday y'all! I bring you part three of our update series!

Not going to lie, the 16 wood research took on a life of its own! While I work for a woodworking company, I'm no expert on wood. I had a lot of fun doing research and learning. There is more about some woods than others, but I find it all very interesting. I hope you do too :).

When I sat down to record this update I talked about a lot more than just woods. But the wood lesson was such a big segment it felt weird to clump everything together. Instead I'm going to take a lot of the footage that was unused for this edit and provide one or two mini updates in the coming days!

Here's a little segment I did with the Hero Vault to test its capacity!

spoiler alert - I was able to cram 13 - 14 dice in there.

I also showed off some darker Caster Tiles which I pull for a mini update - but just to take a look...

For those who are wondering, I'd say the engravings are certainly more subtle on the darker woods, but not unreadable. Wenge (left) Macassar Ebony (right).

I look forward to putting together our Monster's and Map's update! Custom art is always my favorite part :D.

p.s. You will see it in Wyrm Lyfe, but just so everyone knows - I believe we are going to be altering the dimensions of the Tile Rack, so that a single segment can fit 8 tiles as opposed to 7. After hearing a few comments from backers, I think it's the best move. You will hear more about it soon! :)

Hey all! Hope everyone is staying Hexy! I just filmed the update video for this Saturday.

Here's what you can expect from that video:

I am also going to be going over some guidelines for wood pairing. As well as a brief history lesson on each of the woods used in the campaign. I know in the last video I said I was going to be deep diving Monsters & Maps AND giving a wood lesson - but I may have gone overboard with my wood research... This section will be a bit more meaty than I thought. So I will save the Monsters & Maps deep dive for the following video update. I'm so excited to reveal a thing or two in that video! We got some cool stuff :).
