BackerKit charges processed! What's Next?
28 days ago – Tue, Nov 02, 2021 at 03:52:16 AM

Hello, all you hexy people!

Eh? No good? Okay. Just trying to mix it up with the intros a little bit. You win some, you lose some, right?

Okay, well, here we are, update time once again! You know the drill - here's the video, or you can skip below if you're one of those "reading" types.

Summary

  • BackerKit charges have been processed! You should have an email from BackerKit confirming your charge, or notifying you if there was a problem with your payment. If there was any issue, please resolve it by updating your card information as soon as possible. Reach out to us with any issues.
  • Orders are locked, we've got numbers and projects on which to base our production, and I have passed those numbers on to the department heads to plan production and labor. Design is finalizing the parts of the project still requiring their attention, and then we move on to active production!
  • Pre-orders have been coming in since the campaign ended, and if you placed a pre-order and are reading this update: welcome! Incoming pre-orders will be charged every Friday, beginning this Friday, November 5th. Likewise, any backers that confirm their order late will also be charged on the Friday after they confirm their order. This will continue for the duration of the project.

Charts and Stats

Note: These charts are the same ones in the video above, just presented in a slightly less fun way! Huzzah!

Tabletop Tile Popularity

Breakdown of all Tiles ordered to date

Wood Selections (not including RTD)

Wood chart across entire project to date (not including RTD)

Wood Selections (including RTD)

"If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice" - Rush, on Wyrmwood's RTD option

Weird Stats

  • So far, over 27,280 Tabletop Tiles have been ordered. This is a sufficient amount for the entire population of Lindenhurst, NY to each receive 1 Tabletop Tile.
  • We will have to drill over 163,000 magnet holes (6 per tile). This is silly, and we are going to build a custom machine to do it because we asked and no one wants to drill 163,000 holes.

For the next few, I have some VISUAL AIDS! Enjoy! (Also, I am not very good at photoshop. I am sorry.)

All the ordered Tile Rack segments, laid end to end, would go on for a quarter of a mile. If they were magnetically attached to one another and stacked vertically, the line would be as tall as the 36th tallest building in the world, the Al Hamra tower in Kuwait:

Not QUITE to scale, but pretty darn close!

All the Tabletop Tiles ordered, if stacked, would be over 1,400 feet tall. This is as tall as the 28th tallest building in the world, which also happens to be the thinnest skyscraper, 111 West 57th Street in New York City.

Note: not an actual photo. Hard to believe, I know!

Finally, if you were to connect all the Tabletop Tiles end to end, it would stretch about 9,000 feet - which is as long as your average commercial airport runway.

Totally what it would look like IRL

Okay, that's about it for this one. I hope you enjoyed this departure, given we don't have a ton of serious stuff to talk about. But, in all seriousness, everything looks good and is progressing fine, and I'll keep you posted month to month on how it's looking.

Thanks for all of your support, and I hope you had a great Halloween, assuming you celebrate it... and I hope you have a great Thanksgiving this month, should you celebrate it! Until next time!

BackerKit Charges TODAY!
about 1 month ago – Sat, Oct 23, 2021 at 10:15:21 PM

Hello backers!

Another quick one, but important nonetheless! Key points to follow the video.

Key Takeaways

  • BackerKit charges processing today, October 22nd, for all backer orders with outstanding balances
  • Gyft Certificates being applied to orders prior to charges occurring.
  • 90% of backers have responded to the survey! Thank you :)
  • Late responses still count, but may have their orders delivered late and are not eligible for our late delivery Gyft Certificate offer.
  • Details on that offer: any backer whose order is not shipped by the last day of their estimated delivery month is due to be issued a $25 Gyft Certificate to WyrmwoodGaming.com. [Typically, this is done via physical certificates shipped with your order, but this is subject to change.]
  • Regular updates on the project will be sent on the 1st of every month, until fulfillment (shipping orders) begins. At that point, an additional update on the 15th of each month will also be sent to give you a better idea how fulfillment is going.

More to Come

More fun stuff in the next one, I promise! In the meantime, thank you all for your support. I'm looking forward to getting the ball rolling on production and fulfillment of all your rewards!

Oh, and one other thing. Are you into Halloween? How about awesome art? What about tarot decks? Well, if you like at least two of those things, you might want to check out our seasonal project, live right now. And if you like all three, well, why are you still reading this??? Just click already!

Alright, everybody, thanks for watching/reading and I'll catch up with you soon. I hope the fall is treating you well so far, and that you're ready to have a great Halloween!

Last Call for BackerKit Surveys!
about 1 month ago – Sun, Oct 17, 2021 at 02:47:22 AM

Hello backers!

I've got another update for you today. Key points below the video.

Key Takeaways

  • BackerKit surveys will lock MONDAY, October 18th
  • Wyrmwood backs up our delivery window estimates. Any backer whose order is not shipped by the last day of their estimated delivery month is due to be issued a $25 Gyft Certificate to WyrmwoodGaming.com. [Typically, this is done via physical certificates shipped with your order, but this is subject to change.] This offer is limited to those that complete their survey on time, so be sure to fill it out this weekend if you haven't yet!
  • A link to your survey was emailed to you via BackerKit. You can also access your survey by logging into your BackerKit account here: https://www.backerkit.com/backer_accounts - from here, look to the top of the page and click on the link that says 'Find A Survey' and enter the name of the project: Hexagonal Gaming System. Follow the link that appears when you search the project and you will be able to customize your order.
  • Starting Monday after lockdown, we will begin the process of applying Gyft Certificates to orders for those that listed their codes in response to that survey question.
  • Orders with outstanding balances will be charged on Friday, October 22nd.

Survey Says...?

  • Tabletop Tiles dominated the campaign, accounting for a full 2/3 of the project revenue
  • The Solo Tile was the most popular design, followed closely by the Combo Tile. The Duo Tile took the bronze trophy, lagging a bit behind the others.
  • When it comes to wood choices, the entry selection White Oak came out on top, with Roll The Dice being the next most popular option. Black Walnut was third in popularity.

That about does it for this one. Thanks for your support, everyone!

Ed here, just sending out a quick update. Here's a brief video - key takeaways are below:

  • If you ordered a RTD Hexagonal Dice Tray along with either a RTD Tabletop Vault or RTD Hero Vault, we will be contacting you to collect your desired text engraving, and these items will arrive as a matched set (same wood)
  • Surveys lock down on 10/18, and backers will have their credit cards charged for outstanding balances on 10/22

That's it for now. Thanks for your attention and support, and I hope your week is off to a good start!

BackerKit Surveys in 3, 2, 1... NOW!
about 2 months ago – Tue, Oct 05, 2021 at 08:17:39 PM

Hello, everyone!

Just a quick note to inform you that I am in the process of sending out ALL BackerKit Survey invitations right now. These will be sent to the same email address you backed the project with. If you don't see a "Response Needed" email from BackerKit by this evening, be sure to check your spam folder. If there's nothing there, either, let us know and we'll dig into it.

Note: If you use the Kickstarter mobile app on an Apple device and have selected the “Hide My Email” option, you are likely not going to receive your survey due to a known bug with the app. If this applies to you, please contact us as soon as possible with an alternative email address, and we can make sure you get it.

Here again is the video walkthrough for BackerKit, just in case you missed it last time:

And with that, I'll get out of your way! Let us know if you have any questions or issues about the survey (or anything else), and we'll be happy to help.
